Simple Nutritious Breakfast

oatmeal & chia seed pudding breakfast bowl: a nutritious bowl that is filling and easy to make

Oats are one of the meals that have been said to have so many nutrition benefits to our bodies. For people who struggle with digestion issues or are gluten-sensitive, oats can be a great addition to your pantry. They have a lot of fiber that really help with digestion. oats are also good source of plant-based proteins. here's some simple way you can enjoy oats in the morning.



ingredients:

oatmeal

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1/4 cup oat flour

  • 1/4 cup milk (any type of milk will do)

for chia pudding

  • 2 tbsp. desiccated coconuts

  • 50ml hot water

  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds

fruits

  • 5 blueberries

  • 1 or 2 strawberries

  • 6 blackberries

nuts

  • 5 cashew nuts





directions:

Chia pudding

  1. In a small bowl toss in the chia seeds and the coconut dessicates and mix well to combine. Add 1/4 cup of hot water and stir. Place the mix aside to set until it turns into a gel form. This might take around 30 minutes. For a thicker consistency you can opt to prepare it overnight.


Oatmeal

  1. Mix the oat flour with one cup of water and stir to form a runny batter.

  2. Boil one cup of water and add in the oatmeal batter as you stir. Continue stirring till the mixture starts to thicken. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 7 minutes. Stir constantly to prevent the oatmeal from burning

  3. After 7 minutes, add in the milk and stir to fold it in the oatmeal

  4. Leave it to cook for another 5 minutes.

  5. Turn off the heat and let the oatmeal set and cool

Serving

Pour your oatmeal in a bowl as the base. Add in the chia pudding on top of the oatmeal. Toss in your berries and nuts and enjoy this delicious breakfast bowl!!!🤗

(You can choose to drizzle some honey for added sweetness but it's totally optional.)


This is without a doubt one of my favourite breakfast bowl. It's my go to breakfast when I have a busy day and I need something that will keep me full though out the day!
